It's stage 2 deja vu! Ontario's COVID-19 announcement meant stricter restrictions for three hotspots in the province, but there was a warning for all Ontarions in there too.

While Peel Region, Toronto and Ottawa are the only areas where gyms, indoor dining, theatres and more have to close down, effective October 10, the chief medical officer for the province had some big words of warning for everyone else.

Limit trips outside of home, except for essential purposes only

Ontario Government

In the statement put out by the government, all Ontarians are being urged to follow some major advice which includes limiting themselves and any travelling they do.

"Limit trips outside of home, except for essential purposes only such as work where it is not possible to work from home, school, grocery shopping, medical appointments, and outdoor healthy physical activity," the statement read.

It also went on to say that travelling to other regions of the province right now, especially from a hotspot to somewhere else, should only be for essential purposes.

While these aren't laws that can enforced right now, the statement warns that they are monitoring the situation and the public health team will advise on adding more restrictions if necessary.

They also reminded people to keep 2 metres apart, wear a mask when physical distancing isn't possible, and wash your hands.
