The leader of a self-described "church" in Florida was just charged for selling bleach he said was the cure for the novel coronavirus.

Mark Grenon of Florida's Genesis II Church of Health & Healing and his three sons have been charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to violate the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, and criminal contempt.

Dear Mr. President, sir, I pray that this letter gets to you and finds you well. I am praying you read this letter and intervene and look into the FDA attacking our church and our sacraments by calling them fraudulent.”

Back in April, Grenon gained national attention after President Trump's "knocks it out in a minute, one minute," comment was linked to a letter Grenon sent the president prior.

The Bradenton-based organization sold its "miracle cure," which lists chlorine dioxide bleach as the main ingredient, as a treatment for COVID-19 and other diseases like HIV and brain cancer.

The group received warnings from the FDA and the FTC to cease the marketing and selling of the product before the recent charge.
