This State Might Declare A 'President Donald J. Trump Day' This Year
Ohio Republicans are looking to declare a holiday to recognize former-President Donald Trump just two weeks after his term ended.
State representatives Jon Cross and Reggie Stoltzfus reportedly sent a letter to other members of the House asking them to support the bill, which would make June 14 "President Donald J. Trump Day."

President Donald J. Trump personified the emotions of millions of Ohioans who for too long have felt marginalized by our government.

The proposed day falls on the former President's birthday along with Flag Day, which celebrates the creation of the American flag on June 14, 1777.
"Let's show the 3,154,834 Ohio voters who cast their ballot to re-elect Donald J. Trump that we as a legislature recognize the accomplishments of his administration," said Cross and Stoltzfus.
It would not be the first time a former President's home state would establish a holiday to celebrate their time in office.
California celebrates Ronald Reagan Day on February 6, while Illinois celebrates Barack Obama Day on August 4.
