Donald Trump's presidency has been over for almost a week now, and it seems he is not quite ready to leave politics just yet.

On Monday, Trump announced the creation of the "Office of the Former President," in Palm Beach, Florida, which will oversee his post-presidential activities.

The new office comes as the president has been virtually blocked on all major forms of social media including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram following the Pro-Trump riots on Capitol Hill on January 6.

"The Office will be responsible for managing President Trump's correspondence, public statements, appearances, and official activities to advance the interests of the United States and to carry on the agenda of the Trump administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism," the office said in a statement.

It is not yet known when we will get another statement from the new office, as Trump has not made it exactly clear how he will spend his post-presidential life.

But the office could become very active soon, as Trump is being tried in the Senate next month following his impeachment by the House of Representatives for "incitement of insurrection."

Some former presidents have also created their own websites where they can send messages, connect with the general public and receive scheduling and media requests.

Many also set up foundations or non-profits to continue serving their communities and remain politically active.
