In the interest of public safety, and based on his attempts to spread misinformation, hate speech, and incite violence, which are clear violations of our guidelines, we have made the decision to permanently terminate his account. Snapchat

The popular multimedia messaging app has permanently banned President Trump's account for violating multiple guidelines according to a statement released by the platform on Wednesday.

This is not the first time Snapchat has taken action against the president, as they removed his account from the "Discover" page in June 2020 amid nationwide Black Lives Matter protests.

In addition to the Snapchat ban, President Trump has also been issued his first strike from Youtube.

The video platform has officially suspended the president's account temporarily for the last week of his term.

According to Youtube's policy, a second strike will lead to a two-week suspension and a third will lead to a permanent ban.
