If you're thinking about summer vacay destinations, you may want to keep this enchanting beach town on your radar.

With soft sand shores and shimmering waters, it's a great spot for a getaway, according to locals.

On Narcity Canada's Facebook page, we asked readers to share their most underrated vacation spot in Ontario. This stunning lakeside community was one of the recommended locations, and it's a warm-weather paradise.

Crystal Beach, a lakefront community in Fort Erie, is a magical vacation spot.

Also known as Bay Beach, the sandy locale is one of the region's most popular tourist destinations, according to the website.

You can expect "white sandy beaches and clear warm waters" that will whisk you away to the tropics.

There are many eateries and local shops to check out during your visit. You can explore boutiques such as Planks Canada, Lasting Impressions and Lakeside Books and Art.

If you're planning a more extended escape, you can book a stay at a beachfront cottage or local inn, such as the unique Hotel Philco.

Other attractions in the Crystal Beach area include bike rentals, paddling adventures and the Fort Erie Racetrack.

You'll need to book a day pass to visit Crystal Beach during the summer.

According to Crystal Beach BIA, passes can be booked for $5 per person Monday through Thursday and $10 per person Friday through Sunday and holidays, from Victoria Day to Labour Day.
