Get your swimsuit ready! If you're dreaming of beach getaways, this gorgeous Ontario destination is worth a road trip. With stretches of white sand and crystal waters, it's a magical spot for a summer vacation.

On Narcity Canada's Facebook page, we asked readers to share their top summer vacation spots in Canada. The post received recommendations from coast to coast, and this dreamy Ontario beach was one of the spots mentioned.

Wasaga Beach is a little slice of summer paradise. Located along the shining waters of Georgian Bay, under 2 hours from Toronto, it's an ideal spot for a weekend getaway.

According to Destination Ontario, Wasaga Beach "is Ontario's quintessential summer spot for sun, sand and surf."

The silky sand beach stretches for 14 kilometres along the South Georgian Bay shoreline, making it the longest freshwater beach in the world.

There are multiple beaches to enjoy during your visit, with Beach Area 1 being the most lively. Here, you'll find attractions, restaurants, shops and more. You can cool off with an ice cream cone while you explore souvenir shops and soak up some sun.

The beachfront is undergoing a redevelopment that will bring new shops, hotels, and other amenities to the area.

In addition to swimming, you can visit Nancy Island Historic Site to learn about the region's past or enjoy attractions such as mini golf and go-karting.

With beautiful sandy shores, sparkling waves and vibrant beach town vibes, Wasaga Beach is a summertime gem.
