Listen up, motorists! Ontario gas prices are set to drop this weekend, so load the car with your ski gear and head to Blue Mountain for a quick weekend getaway.

Gas prices have been on the rise since the start of the new year, but luckily for Ontrians, that upward trend is taking a quick turn.

According to Gas Wizard, gas prices are expected to drop by two cents in most Ontario cities on Saturday, bringing cities like Toronto, Barrie and Cambridge down to 144.9 cents per litre from the 146.9 cents per litre they were predicted to sit at today.

And even though many other cities sit across a similar price point, Peterborough will be the cheapest spot to fuel up in Ontario. Motorists in the city can expect to fuel up at 129.9 cents per litre, with a one-cent decrease since Friday's predictions.

The following cheapest Ontario cities are a major jump from Peterborough's low prices, with Cornwall being the next best thing. People in the Eastern Ontario city can expect to see 140.9 cents per litre, which is unchanged from Friday and Oshawa, with a two-cent decrease.

London could also see a two-cent decrease on Saturday, with pumps at 143.9 cents per litre.

Most other Ontario cities, including Cambridge, Guelph, Hamilton, Kingston, Markham, Oakville, Ottawa, St Catharines and Windsor, are predicted to be as low as 144.9 cents per litre.

So, if you plan on skiing this weekend or going on a winter hike hours away from your home, fuel up at low costs while you still can.
