Looking for a last-minute autumn adventure? This cozy village in Ontario boasts tumbling cascades, vibrant foliage and quaint shops.

Located about 2 hours away from Toronto in the heart of Muskoka, the charming town is a dreamy spot for a fall day trip or weekend getaway.

Bracebridge, Ontario is known as "the waterfall capital of Muskoka," according to Discover Muskoka, and is home to "three of the area's most beautiful cascades."

During the fall, the area comes alive with gorgeous shades of red and gold, adding an extra touch of magic to the scenery.

You can spend the soaking up waterfall views in and around Bracebridge with the self-guided Chasing Waterfalls Tour.

The adventure takes you to several of these majestic natural wonders, such as the magnificent High Falls, charming Potts Falls and Wilson's Falls, which you'll find hidden along the Muskoka River.

One of the "most famous waterfalls" in the Muskoka area is Bracebridge Falls and you can find this cascade right downtown, so there's no need to work up a sweat in order to enjoy some stunning views.

There's lots more to enjoy during the fall season in Muskoka.

You can head to Bala, the "Cranberry Capital of Ontario" and enjoy the Cranberry Harvest at Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery, take in the fall colours in Limberlost Forest and enjoy all the pumpkin vibes at Sandhill Nursery.

There are also lots of cute local shops to explore in Bracebridge, as well as restaurants and bakeries.
