Fancy a trip to Salem? You don't need to go far in order to find spooky streets and chilling decor. This small town near Toronto is transforming into a haunted village and it will have you feeling like you're in a scene from Hocus Pocus.

Elora, also known as "Ontario's most beautiful village," is getting a spooky makeover this fall. The annual Monster Month event has returned to the town and transformed it into a Halloween extravaganza.

The event is running for the entire month of October and extends into the nearby town of Fergus as well.

One of the highlights of Monster Month is Tim Murton's Twilight Zoo — a collection of haunting lantern sculptures that take over the streets of Elora. You can see all sorts of ghoulish figures decorating the buildings and corners of the town.

There are lots of other events taking place throughout the month, including lantern tours, cemetery tours, a Fall Festival and more.

You can enjoy the Monster March Parade, solve a murder mystery, explore a House of Horrors and experience a Beetlejuice-themed shopping event.

If you're feeling brave, you can join the Ghost Walk through Fergus, one of "Canada's most haunted villages." You'll learn all about the town's eerie past and most sinister places.

With monster-filled streets, spooky events and whimsical autumn vibes, Elora is worth adding to your fall plans.
