You'll want to have Ghostbusters on speed dial when visiting this Ontario town. With historic streets and haunting tales, it's a spooky spot to visit during the Halloween season.

Niagara-on-the-Lake is known for its charm and romance, but it also has a more sinister side.

According to Ghost Walks, the 19th-century village is known as "Canada's most haunted town" and is brimming with chilling legends.

You can spend the night in Brockamour Manor, which is said to be haunted by ghosts who suffered a tragic love story. According to Niagara Escarpment Views, guests have reported being awakened by the sound of a woman crying.

Another spooky spot to visit is Fort George, which, according to Tourism Niagara, is "regarded as one of the most haunted spots in Canada."

The fort was once the site of a gruesome battle and some of the soldiers may never have left the grounds. You can take a Halloween Ghost Tour through the area to discover its haunting past.

Other spooky destinations to visit include the Royal George Theatre, Apothecary, and Olde Angel Inn.

If you're not up for scares, you can enjoy the fall charm of the village instead. There are many local shops and restaurants to enjoy, as well as wineries with harvest-themed events.

You can also take in the fall colours at Queens Royal Park.

With Victorian streets and ghostly legends, this Ontario town is the perfect place to celebrate the Halloween season.
