Canada's Top Doc Says We Aren't On The Slow Burn Anymore But Has A Plan To Get Us Back

Canadians need to follow these tips ASAP.

Doctor's orders! We're many months into the global pandemic, and Canadian health officials, like Dr. Theresa Tam, have stepped up in a big way to help educate fellow Canucks and curb the virus that has plagued the world. However, it looks like another lesson is needed.

Canada's top health official has found herself once again re-iterating tips she thinks Canadians should follow, especially in the wake of some recent spikes in numbers this fall.

On Twitter, she addressed her thousands of followers and shared tips that “we all need to be doing” in order to stop the spread of COVID-19 and get our home in the north back on the safer slow burn

Tip number 1: Stay Home.

“#StayHome and away from others if you develop any symptoms of #COVID19, even if mild. Consult your local #publichealth authority for information on testing in your area,” the doctor said.

Tip number 2: Rethink your bubble.

“Rethink your bubble. Limit your #ContactBubble to just the people who are in your existing household and/or your small, consistent and trusted in-person contacts. Smaller is safer. Quality over quantity” she added.

Tip number 3: Physical Distancing.

Dr. Tam tweeted, "#COVID19 personal protective measures: #PhysicalDistancing, #handwashing& #CoughEtiquette are a first line of defence and the guard we must never let down. Add #MaskOn in closed spaces, crowded places or close contact situations.”

It's no coincidence this checklist came merely days after cases spiked by nearly 75% in over just one month.

On Monday, Dr. Tam said in a statement that daily cases across Canada had reached 849 as of Friday, making the month of September one to watch.
