The prime minister left his suit in the closet this weekend as he celebrated Thanksgiving with his family.

In an Instagram post on Monday, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau shared an intimate insight into their family life — and the photos are pretty adorable!

In one of the images, Justin Trudeau can be seen neck-deep in orange fall leaves with his youngest son.

Another photo showed the three Trudeau children smiling outside with a couple of furry guinea pigs.

Alongside the images, the PM’s wife wrote, “Happy Thanksgiving, my friends! We’re all having to celebrate a little differently this year… but as Canadians, we still have so much to be thankful for.”

She added, “From my family to yours, be well and stay safe.”

Earlier this month, Grégoire Trudeau shared yet another insight into their life together, as she posted an adorable “throwback” photo of her and Justin when they were young.

Celebrating 17 years since their first date, she wrote, "We are not that young anymore, but what an adventure it’s been.”

The family has proved in the past that they love the autumn season and this latest photo shows they're not afraid to get up-close-and-personal with the golden leaves, either!
