If you’ve been waiting for the perfect excuse to welcome a furry face into your home, this could be it. PetSmart National Adoption Days is back and there are so many fluffy friends looking for their forever homes. The best part is, you could find your new BFF from the comfort of your couch!

Editor's Choice: Ontario's Epic Pumpkinferno Is Officially Coming Back This Fall

Whether you’re a pet parent looking to expand your fuzzy family or a first-timer looking for a new friend, this Canadian national adoption event is here to help.

From September 14 to 30, PetSmart is hosting its second adoption event of 2020 — only this time it's totally virtual.

This means that wherever you are in Canada, you’ll be able to find so many furry, scaly and whiskered faces looking for their forever homes.

With a little help from the superstore, pet parents will be able to find dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and more, without even having to leave the couch.

Adopters can use the PetSmart site to navigate through thousands of animals from over 180 different local shelters.

If you’ve got a specific furry family member in mind, you can use the PetSmart website to search by type of animal, their location, age, size and even colour.

Rather than meet the animals face-to-muzzle, potential pet parents will have to learn all about the animal online first.

If a perfect match is found, virtual meet-and-greets can be arranged through the local animal organization.

If everything goes to plan, your nearest PetSmart will help to finalize the adoption process.

From here, all that's left to do is cuddle up and get to know your new furry BFF!

To help new pet owners get started, the superstore is also offering a free adoption package that’s worth over $300 in savings.

This will help adopters to stock-up on all the new supplies they could need, including dog and cat food.

If right now isn't the purr-fect time for you to consider a pet, a similar event is scheduled for November.
