Niagara-on-the-Lake is an old-world village nestled in Ontario's wine country, just under 2 hours from Toronto.

According to Culture Trip, it's one of the "20 Most Beautiful Towns and Villages in Canada" and is "one of the most well-preserved 19th-century towns in the country."

As you stroll along the picturesque streets lined with flowers and historic buildings, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time.

There are so many local shops to visit, as well as cafes and restaurants where you can dig into some of the region's local flavours.

During the spring season, Niagara-on-the-Lake transforms into a little slice of Holland. The area is brimming with tulip farms, and you can wander through colourful fields and pick your own bouquet to bring home.
