Carole Baskin Says People Keep Pranking Her & This Is Her Reponse

These cats and kittens are not so cool.

Tampa’s Big Cat Rescue owner Carole Baskin has been making personalized videos for fans on Cameo. Recently, some people have been using the platform in order to prank the Tiger Queen by asking her to send videos to registered sex offenders, unbeknownst to her. Baskin’s lengthy response on Facebook shows she is undeterred by the antics.

Cameo allows fans to request personalized video messages from stars and influencers on the site. Baskin charges $199 per video and, according to her Facebook post, has even risen next to Charlie Sheen on the site’s New and Noteworthy category.

Some viewers requested that Baskin address videos to Rolf Harris, an Australian entertainer, and Jimmy Savile, a DJ from the U.K. Both have been accused of sexual assault.

In her response on Facebook, Baskin claims to never have heard of these names and had no idea of their history.

“I am amazed at the lengths (and expense) people will go to in order to trash my reputation,” wrote Baskin. “Of course, I have never heard of Rolf Harris, or Jimmy Seville and would not have done the Cameo had I known.”

The Big Cat owner also said that people have taken one of her videos and edited it down to appear as though she said something out of context.

She insists that she does not “cower to bullies” and such a prank will not stop future Cameos.

Baskin claims to be preyed upon, also pointing to the producers of the hit Netflix docuseries, who she says had driven by money to make Tiger King as provocative as possible, as well as those who pranked her in what she says was an attempt to “break the internet.”

Still, Baskin holds firm in her stance and seems disinclined to let a prank stop her from claiming the number one spot on New and Noteworthy from Charlie Sheen.

“The signature line in my email reads, 'I ask you to judge me by the enemies I have made.' - Franklin D. Roosevelt,” Baskin says in her post.

“And I think that tells you all you need to know about the kind of people who abuse me in their efforts to make others hate me.”
