This Is What It Will Be Like To Go To Bars In Texas As Of Today
After nearly three months of being forced to close, most Texas bars are officially allowed to reopen.
You can say goodbye to standing shoulder to shoulder and waiting in line 20 minutes for your drink for now because things will look a little differently than they did seven months ago.
In addition to only being open at 50% capacity, bars are required to enforce mask-wearing and social distancing, while customers will be required to stay seated while eating or drinking inside.

Governor Greg Abbott made the official announcement last week and also gave county judges the power to decide whether or not reopening is a good idea.
Unfortunately for those in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, the decision was not yet.
“We’re currently in orange. If they [cases] keep going up we’ll be in red, our worst color,” Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins told NBCDFW.
Those in Fort Worth, however, can now return to the famous stockyards and visit their favorite honky-tonk.
"I believe we can safely reopen at 50%,” said Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley.
Texas has reported 843,000 cases of COVID-19 as of Wednesday.
