They're back for a second round! The premiere date for The Boys season two was just revealed and it's coming up so soon. This time around, the Amazon Prime Original will be released with weekly episodes instead of all at once.

During a live stream with the cast over the weekend, the streamer announced that season two will premiere the first three episodes on September 4.

After that, one episode will be released each week up until the season finale on October 9.

The live stream was hosted by season two's guest star with a secret role, Patton Oswalt. He was joined by showrunner Eric Kripke, who created the series alongside Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen.

According to Deadline, Kripke said in a statement that they "wanted to give you time to freak out, digest, discuss, come down from the high, before we give you another dose. We only have your well-being in mind. Hope you love the season as much as we do."

Also on the live chat were cast members Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Karen Fukuhara, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Tomer Capon, Chace Crawford, Jessie Usher, Colby Minifie, Laz Alonso, and Nathan Mitchell.

Deadline claims that the upcoming season will see The Boys running from the law as they're being chased by the Supes. Hughie, Mother's Milk, Frenchie, and Kimiko are in hiding while Butcher is nowhere to be found.

While that's happening, Starlight is figuring out her new place in The Seven, and Homelander gets his power threatened when new girl Stormfront (played by Aya Cash) joins the Supe team as a social media star with her own agenda.

A first look video from Amazon Prime features Stormfront live streaming on Instagram when she gets introduced to Homelander and Queen Maeve who are in the middle of filming.

They, along with Ashley Barrett, don't look too pleased to meet their new team member and storm off to continue shooting.

According to IMDb, season two was filmed from July to November 2019 in cities including Toronto and Hamilton, with the Voight Headquarters located at Roy Thomson Hall.

The cast even showed off their love for Toronto on Instagram while production took place in the fall.

Mark your calendars for September 4 when the first three episodes of The Boys premiere. Check out the first look clip below.
