There's a tiny 'Canada' hidden inside Disney World and fans say it's the best hidden gem

Have you been to Disney's version of Canada before? 👀

If you've ever visited EPCOT at Walt Disney World, chances are you've sipped or snacked your way around the globe — maybe a croissant in France, a sushi roll in Japan, or a margarita in Mexico.

But tucked away at the edge of the World Showcase is a charming little spot that doesn't always get the spotlight: Disney's Canada Pavilion.

EPCOT, for the uninitiated, is one of four theme parks at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. It's known for combining futuristic attractions with cultural experiences, especially in the World Showcase — a lakeside loop of 11 pavilions representing different countries from around the world.

At the very end of the loop (or at the very beginning, depending on which way you loop), you'll find Canada. And while it might not have a flashy ride or a long line, it makes up for it with scenic views, quaint details, and some seriously good Canadian-inspired food.

The area welcomes guests with the impressive Hotel du Canada, a stately building clearly inspired by Ottawa's historic Chateau Laurier.

From there, you can wander through beautifully landscaped gardens modelled after British Columbia's Butchart Gardens, past a flowing stream, rocky canyons, and a dramatic 30-foot waterfall meant to evoke the Canadian Rockies.

You'll also spot totem poles, log cabins, maple leaf–cutout railings, and even snowshoes and kayaks tucked into the decor.

Le Cellier Steakhouse is tucked beneath the hotel and is considered one of EPCOT's best dining spots. The restaurant is designed to feel like an intimate wine cellar, with stone arches and warm lighting.

The Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup — made with Moosehead beer and smoked bacon — is a fan favourite, and the signature filet mignon with mushroom risotto is a must-try for steak lovers.

Naturally, there's also a selection of indulgent poutines on the menu. The Signature Poutine is a comfort food classic, layered with Canadian cheese curds, red wine reduction, and a hint of truffle. The Beef Bourguignon version is a richer, gravy-laden twist that's everything you'd want after a long day at the park.

Other highlights on the menu include Maple Whiskey-glazed Brussels Sprouts, a Heirloom Beets and Goat Cheese starter, and a Warm Pecan-Brown Butter Tart with whisky caramel.

There's also no shortage of Canadian-themed shopping here. You'll find cozy flannel shirts, Disney/Canada-themed merch, maple syrup, and all sorts of Canadian souvenirs that make great gifts — or just fun little finds for yourself.

Entertainment changes throughout the year, but there's usually live music at the Canada Mill Stage, showcasing Canadian bands and artists. There's also a 360-degree film, "Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360," that offers a sweeping look at the country's natural beauty and cities.

One Walt Disney World influencer with over 100,000 followers recently called this spot "EPCOT's hidden gem," adding, "It's one of my favourite spots. We love stopping by just to reset when it's too busy."

Others chimed in with similar love, with one commenter saying, "Literally one of my most favourite spots in Epcot—dare I say in WDW."

Somebody else added, "We love this spot! Found it by accident years ago, but now we never miss it."

Another Disney expert shared their own insights into the area, describing it as "one of Disney World’s best-kept secrets."

"Located in EPCOT at the Canada Pavilion in World Showcase, you can find this beautiful waterfall! I actually didn’t know this existed until I had visited over 20 times! I can’t believe I just never walked back there," she said.
