3 Toronto Hospitals Are Dealing With COVID-19 Outbreaks Right Now

The outbreaks are spreading among patients and staff.

On Monday, a total of three Toronto hospitals are dealing with outbreaks of COVID-19.

The three affected hospitals include Toronto Western Hospital, St. Joseph's Health Centre, and the Queens St. Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.

Cases have been reported among both patients and staff.

Today, we are reporting a confirmed COVID-19 outbreak.

St. Joseph's of Unity Health Toronto is reporting 16 infected patients, with an additional 13 staff members, reports CP24.

Eight people at Toronto Western University — five staff and three patients — have tested positive for COVID-19.

CAMH's outbreak is on the smaller side — only two cases have been reported in one location.

"We continue to remain vigilant about policies and procedures to keep staff and patients safe," CAMH assured in their online statement.

Hospitals around the GTA, including SickKids Hospital, dealt with outbreaks of the disease during the first wave of the pandemic.

As of today, Toronto has reported a total of 24,374 COVID-19 infections.
