Authorities were called to the LRT at approximately 6:30 p.m. due to the suspects allegedly harassing two passengers, spitting on them, yelling racial slurs, and uttering death threats.

Shortly after, WRP responded to a fire set by the same perpetrators in a garbage container on Fairway Road South.

The fire was extinguished by the Kitchener Fire Department.* From there, it seems the youths went on to assault other victims. This time, at a grocery store.

After reportedly throwing rocks, pulling a knife, and uttering more racial slurs towards customers, the group of five was arrested by WRP.

Police are asking the public to contact them if they have any further information as the investigation is ongoing.
