As Ontario continues to battle against COVID-19, restaurants have shut down in many parts of the province. 

Patrick Brown, the Mayor of Brampton, blamed the premier for the region's recent spike of cases on Sunday due to the closure of Brampton's indoor dining. 

Brown told CP24 that Ford's decision has caused the disease to spread quicker.

"People who would go to a restaurant where it would be safe – where there would be masks and proper physical distancing," Brown stated. 

The mayor continued to say that the provincial's ban on restaurants won't work in November.

"[Patio dining] does not work in November in Canada, and it is only going to get colder," he added.

Ontario reported 977 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. Out of those, 238 were in the Peel Region.
