Cineplex Is Reopening Ontario Movie Theatres This Friday & Tickets Will Only Cost $5

Here's some good news for movie lovers! Cineplex is opening Ontario theatres this Friday, July 31. The decision was announced following the city's move into stage 3.

They didn't stop there though. In a bid to entice the public back into theatres, tickets will only be $5!

Select theatres and entertainment venues across Ontario will reopen this Friday, July 31, 2020.

There will be new safety protocols in place including reduced seating, occupancy limitations, enforced social distancing, limited food offerings, equipping staff with PPE, and only accepting debit and credit payments.

It should be noted that Cineplex VIP theatres will remain closed until further notice. A list of theatres reopening is available in the company's press release.

Cineplex will be showing a mix of classics and new movies, including Beauty and the Beast, Jaws, Gravity, Jumanji: The Next Level, and My Spy.
