One of Toronto's largest shopping centres has confirmed that a store is now closed for deep cleaning. A COVID-19 case at Yorkdale's Foot Locker was announced to mall staff in an internal notice on Thursday. However, the mall will be remaining open.

"Yorkdale operations has ensured a deep cleaning of all exterior surface areas in addition to frequent cleaning of all high-touch and high-traffic areas," said Lindsay.

Yorkdale Shopping Centre will continue to monitor the situation.

After temporarily closing to the public in March, Yorkdale began to gradually reopen its street-facing storefronts in May.

The shopping centre fully reopened on June 24, equipped with sanitizing stations and frequent cleaning in high-traffic areas.
