When asked about whether or not Ontario could see more restrictions after the holidays, Doug Ford says that "everything is on the table."

The question referred to the possibility of a two-week post-Christmas shutdown like the one announced in Quebec.

Health Minister Christine Elliott called today's record-breaking COVID-19 case count "very concerning," and said that more solutions will be considered to get the numbers down. 

Premier Francois Legault of Quebec is expected to announce further details on the province's two-week post-Christmas shutdown, reports CBC.

As of now, all that has been confirmed of the shutdown is that it will begin on December 25, with a planned end date of January 11, 2021.

During this time, all non-essential businesses will be mandated to close.

Currently, Toronto, Peel, York, and Windsor-Essex Public Health Units are in the Grey-Lockdown zone of the provincial framework.

Toronto and Peel's 28-day lockdown, which began on November 23, is set to end on December 21. The premier's office has yet to comment on whether or not it will be extended.
