You Can Taste Fancy Cognacs At This New Toronto Immersive Experience & It's Totally Free
Cheers!

A cognac tasting. Right: A woman tasting cognac.
A boozy immersive experience is coming to one Toronto LCBO in February, and it’s the perfect opportunity for Rémy Martin fans or anyone who simply wants to try cognac for themselves.
And the best part? It’s totally free.
Rémy Martin is celebrating its 300th anniversary in style by offering a special tasting event at the Summerhill LCBO in Toronto.
The brand’s XO Opulence Revealed Experience promises to take visitors on an “immersive, multi-sensory journey of cognac discovery and enjoyment,” which might be French for “cool cognac-tasting experience.” The tastings will also be hosted at one of Toronto's fanciest LCBOs, so you can count on a bougie experience.
If this sounds good but you’re still low-key unsure what cognac is, don’t worry; we’ve got you.
What is Cognac?
Cognac is actually a form of brandy that's distilled from white wine grapes and then aged in barrels until it becomes a dark, flavourful spirit. Cognac must be made from certain types of grapes found in France’s Cognac region, otherwise it’s simply brandy. If that sounds familiar, it’s because there are similar rules that separate Scotch from whiskey and Champagne from sparkling wine, just to name a few.
Rémy Martin is running the tasting experience from February 3 until February 24 and you can sign up for a one-hour session right now.
Rémy Martin says hundreds of people have already snapped up free tickets to the event, so head over to the Eventbrite page and get a taste before it's too late!
