Some parts of Ontario are reverting back to stage 2 as of Saturday morning at midnight, various sources report.

The province announced on Friday that indoor dining at bars and restaurants will cease for the next 28 days in Toronto, Peel, and Ottawa.

Gyms, casinos, cinemas, theatres, and interactive exhibits at museums and zoos will also be mandated to close in these regions, per CTV News.

The announcement came after an emergency cabinet meeting was called by Premier Doug Ford this morning.

Personal care services in which patrons are required to remove their face coverings will also be paused.

Personal gathering limits will remain at 25 outdoors and 10 indoors.

This decision will not impact schools, as they are remaining open. Retail stores will also stay open, as long as they abide by gathering limits.

The province recorded its highest new infection count to date on Friday, at 939 new cases.*
