Ontario Cities Are Waking Up To A Winter Wonderland Right Now (PHOTOS)

After a week of warmer than usual temperatures, Ontario's weather has taken a turn, but maybe not for the worst!

Residents in cities north of Toronto, including Innisfil and Barrie, woke up to fresh snow in their yards on Tuesday morning. 

And who doesn't love a pristine layer of untouched snow?

The drop in temperatures and high winds have been brought on by an incoming Colorado Low, creating a mix of wind and precipitation, reports The Weather Network.

Whatever the cause, it has resulted in some pretty stunning shots of Ontario's first taste of winter. 

One resident got a shot of the snow falling in Mississauga this morning.

This Innisfil pup is having the time of its life exploring the snow!

And this Barrie doggo is enjoying the snowfall from the warmth of the indoors.

Backyards have been turned into winter wonderlands, covered in shimmering snow.

They've even had to pull out the heavy machinery to clear some of the white stuff.

It's looking like January in Barrie today.

A reminder to walk slowly and drive carefully is always appreciated.
