Sunwing Has A New Travel Deal So Canadians Can 'Work From Home' At The Beach

How does working at the beach sound? It could be a reality for you if you've got some money to spend. A new Sunwing work remotely offer has all-inclusive travel packages so that you can do your job while lounging on the beach or at the pool.

Since many Canadians are still working from home and could be doing so well into 2021, the travel company's "upgrade your office" offer is all about using this time to take a workcation.

You can fly from Toronto to one of three luxury resorts and spas in Mexico, the Dominican Republic or Jamaica from November 1 onwards.

You can choose to stay for 14, 21 or 28 nights.

The resorts have accommodations with workstations, business centres with printers, resort-wide wifi, quiet spaces for video calls and even nightly networking happy hours all included.

There are portable power banks available so you can truly work remotely outside.

When it comes to relaxing on your vacation, there are actually daily sunset yoga sessions to help you decompress after the workday is done.

The packages are also all-inclusive so you get food and drinks, room service, breakfast bars and daily snacks.

The beach life doesn't come for free though. 

For a departure on November 7, a 14-night stay at the resort and spa in Negril, Jamaica is $2,375 for one person and that includes taxes, round-trip flights and hotel transfers.

Leaving on November 6, a 21-night stay in Cancun is $2,795 per person with taxes included.

A trip to Punta Cana taking off on November 3 for 14 nights is $1,585 or for a longer workcation, you can go there on November 6 for 28 days for $2,295.

There are even more travel dates that have varying prices online.

Sunwing noted that every step of the way, from check-in to airport transfers to the workcation itself to the journey back home, the health and safety of travellers will be the number one priority.

This work remotely offer isn't the only one available to Canadians.

Barbados has introduced a 12-month visa so that you can do your job from there instead of at your home.

You don't have to stay in the country for an entire year, though. You can travel in and out of Barbados whenever you want during the 12-month period.

However, you do have to certify that you expect to earn about $66,880 in the next year or have the means to support yourself while there.
