We all scream for ice cream! Udderly Ridiculous ice cream was named the best new dessert in Canada for its unique Wine & Dark Chocolate flavour. It's made with goat milk and lots of other local ingredients.

For the 27th Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards, Udderly Ridiculous had the honour of winning the dessert category.

The artisanal goat milk ice cream company had its flavours compete against 112 other new products and were judged by a panel of 34 food experts.

Wine & Dark Chocolate along with Vanilla Bean Lavender were the winning treats this year.

The judges said they were innovative and rich-tasting.

For the more unique flavour, there's a sweet cream base that has fresh Ontario goat milk, cream and curd.

Then dutch cocoa is combined with 74% bittersweet chocolate that's infused with merlot from Legends Estates Winery in Niagara.

That wine is made from 100% Ontario grapes.

The Vanilla Bean Lavender flavour also starts with fresh Ontario goat milk, cream and curd.

For sweetness, vanilla beans are subtly paired with English lavender that's sourced from Apple Hill Lavender farm.

Both award-winning flavours and others from Udderly Ridiculous are made with Ontario ingredients sourced from vendors and farms to support the local food movement.

Along with Wine & Dark Chocolate and Vanilla Bean Lavender, Udderly Ridiculous makes four other flavours of ice cream.

There's Coffee & Craft Brew, Spiced Pumpkin, Peachy Mango Tango and Lemon Cream.

Since they're all made with goat milk, each one of these is lactose-friendly because there aren't the complex proteins that lead to allergic reactions to cow's milk.

Plus, ten cents of the proceeds from every tub of ice cream sold goes towards buying a goat for a family in need.

Currently, Udderly Ridiculous can be found at more than 170 retailers across Ontario but soon there will be a west coast expansion so that even more Canadians can try these unique flavours.

If you're looking for even more sweet treats to try, there are so many places to indulge in fall desserts like decadent donuts, pumpkin cannoli, cinnamon rolls and more.
