The Lunar New Year is nearing and one U.S. ambassador has gone outside of the box to celebrate it with the people of Vietnam.

U.S. ambassador to Vietnam, Dan Kritenbrink, wrote an original rap song talking about his move to Hanoi and his appreciation for the country, complete with a music video.

U.S. and Vietnam, from now to forever, we're trusted partners, prospering together.  Dan Kritenbrink

The track, entitled "Your Boy in Hanoi," has Kritenbrink rapping in both English and Vietnamese alongside famed Vietname rapper Wowy.

The rap calls on the people of Vietnam to "get ready to party from Hà Giang to Cà Mau" and "clean the house now, friends are on the way."

Many found the rap to be just a little cringy, as they were taken aback by Kritenbrink's Vietnamese pronunciation.

While others found the ambassador's rap skills "cute."
