With all the drama cascading at the southern border following election day, Canadians are feeling very sentimental about the way we run our ship up north.

So much so that Elections Canada has been flooded with sweet messages in the last 24 hours.

Apparently Canadian are feeling super grateful.

Editor's Choice: Canada Was Just Named The 2nd Best Country In The World

We want to thank everyone who has sent us kind messages over the last 24 hours. We will continue to work to better serve Canadians. Elections Canada

Elections Canada took to Twitter to not only thank Canadians who sent "kind messages" but to say that they "will continue to work to better serve Canadians," the tweet read.

And Canadian Twitter users also took this time to reflect on our election system here and how they once took it for granted.

"I like most I suppose always took our electoral process for granted in this Country," one Twitter user wrote. "After watching the American fiasco, I am much more appreciative of the system we use here. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to vote. Ever. Well done Election Canada. Well done!"

Another fellow Canadian shared that they are proud to be Canadian after seeing what had unfolded in the US.

But not without using Moira from Schitt's Creek to really bring home the message.
