The US Postal Service Revealed New Futuristic Mail Cars & Twitter Had Jokes

The old models didn't even have air conditioning. 🤯

You might see a new futuristic-looking vehicle dropping your mail off soon.

On Tuesday, the United States Postel Service (USPS) revealed their all-new modern fleet of postal delivery vehicles, and many on Twitter couldn't help but point out some familiarities with the vehicle's design.

The new vehicles have air-conditioning, and will provide increased capacity for handling more packages, along with numerous other amenities that will provide an undoubtedly greater experience for your local mail carrier.

The postal service also hopes to mix both electric and gas-powered versions of the vehicle into the fleet.

Despite the vehicle providing a more luxurious experience for the driver, many couldn't help but get a good chuckle out of the design, which some say looks like something out of an animated movie.

While another Twitter user compared it to a lead character in the hit adult cartoon, "Big Mouth."

Could it even be possible that the vehicle's design was inspired by majestic beluga whales?

The company responsible for designing the vehicle, Oshkosh Defense, plans to finalize the design and distribute between 50,000 and 165,000 cars over the next 10 years.

The USPS says you can expect to start seeing the vehicles hit the road as early as 2023.
