Have you been dreaming of a once-in-a-lifetime vacation in Las Vegas? You're apparently not the only one! New research has found that Canadians can't stop looking for vacations abroad and our top bucket list spot is Sin City.

Travel company Expedia recently told Narcity that their Canadian site has been experiencing a 15% increase in international and domestic searches for hotels week over week.

This means that more and more Canadians are researching and booking trips both inside Canada and overseas, as travel restrictions are set to be relaxed for fully vaccinated citizens.

According to Expedia, Canadians can't wait to hit the big city as their most commonly searched international destination is Las Vegas.

This is followed by Mexican sun destinations Cancun and Playa del Carmen, in addition to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Although the Canada-U.S. border remains closed right now, that hasn't stopped Canadians from fantasizing about crossing it! American cities New York, Miami and Los Angeles all made the top 10 international list, too.

Canadians apparently can't stop dreaming about staycations either, with the Alberta town of Banff taking the top spot for domestic post-pandemic holidays.

It's worth keeping in mind that the federal government continues to advise against all non-essential travel abroad — even if you've been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
