It's a new year, which means it's time to plan those 2025 trips. If you want to take advantage of all the B.C. stat holidays in 2025, then listen up — because some are different from other parts of the country.

For example, Remembrance Day is a stat holiday in B.C. while Ontarians don't have the day off.

While New Year's Day has already passed, there are still lots of holidays to look forward to. Make sure to check this list and take note of all of the remaining statutory holidays in the province so you can plan your long weekends accordingly.

Family Day

Monday, February 17, is a stat holiday for everyone to set aside some time with their loved ones.

Good Friday

This holiday lands on Friday, April 18, this year.

Victoria Day

On Monday, May 19, those in B.C. get to enjoy a day off to celebrate Victoria Day. Since the weather is usually looking up by then it's a great time for some outdoor fun.

Canada Day

Saturday, July 1, is Canada Day, so those in B.C. get a long weekend.

B.C. Day

The provincial stat holiday is Monday, August 4.

Labour Day

This long weekend marks the wind-down of summer fun with one last hurrah. Labour Day is on Monday, September 1 this year.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Tuesday, September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, and it's a stat holiday in the province.

Thanksgiving Day

People can celebrate Thanksgiving on Monday, October 13 this year, with a day off of work.

Remembrance Day

B.C. is one of the Canadian provinces that does get November 11 as a stat holiday.

Christmas Day

Finally, Christmas closes out the year in terms of stat holidays, on Thursday, December 25.
