Jollibee Is Officially Opening In BC Soon & It's About Time

We're chicken over-joyed!
Contributor

We can already hear the cheers of Filipino food fans on the West Coast as the company confirms the upcoming opening of a Vancouver Jollibee. Their famous fried chicken is legendary all over the world and in Canada. Soon enough, Vancouverites could enjoy delicious meals without going on a road trip.

Jollibee confirmed to Narcity over email that a location will open in Vancouver right in the heart of the city. It will be at 833 Granville Street right by the busy intersection of Granville and Robson Street.

However, they still have no details as to when exactly it'll open, what will be on the menu, or what it will be like.

The chain is famous in the Philipines, but locations in Canada have been around for some time. There are stores in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.

If the opening of the most recent Calgary location was anything to go by, Canadians love their fried chicken. The restaurant was absolutely swarmed by hundreds of people on their first day.

You can find mouth-watering menu options in their other Canadian locations like their life-changing crispy chicken.

There's also savoury burger steaks drenched in gravy, sweet-tasting spaghetti dishes, and their take on Filipino palabok, a noodle dish with shrimp on top.

That's not to mention all the side dishes like buttered corn, mashed potatoes, or rice.

Plus, no visit is complete without a little something sweet. That's where your toasty, buttery peach mango pie comes in.

If you're one of the many Vancouverites who have never had the chance to try out this fried chicken joint for yourself, then you'll be able to get a taste soon.

Although no details are confirmed yet about the opening of the location and when it will be, when other locations open up in Canada it's a big deal.

People line up for days outside to be among the first inside and to get a chance to win free chicken.

Fingers-crossed that when they finally announce more details about the long-anticipated opening, that we'll score some free chicken, too.
