The province wasn't joking around when they introduced new COVID-19 fines in B.C. for people who break the rules.

In just the first week of announcing upgraded fines for those involved in large gatherings, the province dished out 10 separate tickets, according to an update on Tuesday, September 1.

To those few who are not complying, there will be consequences.
