"Over the past year, we’ve seen an increase in acts of racism against Asian Canadians," said Trudeau.

"This ignorant, violent, and discriminatory behaviour has no place in Canada - or anywhere in the world. We must continue to stand united against it," he continued.

The Prime Minister shared a tweet by MP Mary Ng that says, "Now, Asian Canadians urgently need your help. We have vaccines to inoculate against COVID-19, but we don't have a vaccine for ending racism."

Posts in support of ending anti-Asian racism have flooded the internet today and celebrities like Dan Levy have put forth their support, as well.
