Texas has always been known for mom and pop Donut shops, but one popular Miami donut chain is going to try to stand out amongst the others in the lone star state.

The Salty Donut, which originally started as a pop-up, gained nationwide attention after it was listed as one of Thrillist's "31 Best Donut Shops in America."

The spot offers a unique take on the breakfast item, giving it a more crafty vibe as well as bringing in an innovative coffee program that is sure to fit in perfectly in the state capital.

The newest location will call Austin's famed South Congress district home.

This is not a spot for traditional donuts, as they offer a large variety of donut flavors including a margarita, horchata, and even cookies + cream.

To start things off with a bang, the shop will be doing a limited time pop-up spot in Austin on South Congress on December 12 and 13 before the actual store opening.

Here they will be offering absolutely free boxes of four donuts and coffee, but you'll have to go online asap and reserve your free box.

The pop-up will be held in front of its future store front at 2000 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX.

This is the shop's second Texas location, with the first being located in Dallas' famed Bishop Arts District.
