On Friday, July 3, on what would have been the first day of the Calgary Stampede, Jagmeet Singh took to social media to wish Canadians a "Happy Stampede."

Singh isn't afraid to keep the spirit of Stampede alive as he's seen proudly wearing cowboy boots with his pants tucked right in.

"I know that it's really tough not being able to come together and celebrate," said NDP leader.

He said that the Stampede is a massive event for not only Alberta or Western Canada, but for the whole country.

He ends the greeting by saying that he's looking forward to "doing this in person" next year.
