Canadians have revealed what the cheapest fast food restaurants in this country are.

You might think you know which places made the cut, but the top spots aren't actually fast food chains.

Recently, Narcity posted on Facebook and asked, "What do you think is the cheapest fast food restaurant in Canada?"

There have been more than 200 comments, and while many people said nothing is cheap anymore, quite a few Canadians shared where they think you can get the cheapest fast food.

But the top places aren't even fast food restaurants.

One is a grocery store and one is a furniture store, but both have food courts where you can get food served quickly!

According to Canadians, the cheapest places to get fast food in Canada are Costco and IKEA.

If you haven't been to the food courts at Costco or IKEA, you might not know what items are on the menu and what prices are.

Most of the fast food options at Costco are less than $10.

A hot dog and a pop cost $1.50, a pizza slice costs $2.59, an ice cream cone costs $2.89, French fries cost $3.49, poutine costs $6.99, chicken fingers and fries cost $7.99, and a Montreal smoked meat sandwich costs $7.99 at Costco Canada.

Some people said the hot dog and pop combo from the wholesale retailer is enough to make it the best fast food spot.

At IKEA, you can get quick-service food from the Swedish Bistro and the Swedish Restaurant for a few bucks.

It costs $1 for a hot dog, $2 for fries, $2 for an ice cream cone, $3 for plant-based nuggets with BBQ sauce, $5.99 to $7.99 for poutine, $8.99 for Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes, and $9.99 for a pulled pork sandwich with fries at IKEA Canada stores.

After that, Wendy's, Dairy Queen and Tim Hortons round out the top five cheapest fast food places in Canada, according to Canadians.

Some people said that Fast Eddie's, Taco Bell, Burger King, and Swiss Chalet are the cheapest places you can get fast food in Canada.

A&W, Gino's Pizza, Harvey's, Little Caesars, McDonald's, KFC, Arby's and Mr. Sub only got one comment each as Canada's cheapest fast food joints.

But "cheapest" doesn't always mean "best," right?

Narcity also recently asked what the "best fast food restaurant in Canada" is, and Harvey's, A&W and Wendy's were the top choices.

Then, Canadians shared another 30 fast food chains that they think are Canada's best, including McDonald's, Swiss Chalet, Mary Brown's, and more.
