Chipotle Is Making It So Canadians Can Just Slide Into Their Facebook DMs To Order

Would you order this way?
Senior Writer

Move over Uber Eats, there's a new way to get delivery. Your Chipotle Canada order can be done through Facebook Messenger soon. You can also pick up your food at the restaurant.

In a unique twist of events, Chipotle is offering Canadians the ability to order through Messenger with its Concierge Bot starting on June 22.

Pepper, the Concierge Bot, will guide you through the new ordering experience.

All you have to do if you want to use this service is go to Chipotle's Facebook page and message them.

You'll be asked to give your location so the bot can find the closest restaurant to you.

Then there are so many options when it comes to ordering.

You can describe your order in natural language or be guided through it just like you would in-store with options to customize your meal and get that extra guac.

After your order is complete, you'll pay and checkout as a guest or with an account.

If you don't want to go into a Chipotle location to pick up your meal, you can get it delivered.

Regardless of how you get the food, all digital orders have seals so you can make sure that your meal hasn't been touched since it was packaged.

"We're always working to enhance and optimize our digital capabilities and provide guests with a seamless ordering experience," said Curt Garner, chief technology officer at Chipotle, in a news release.

However, if ordering a meal through Facebook isn't really your thing, the Chipotle app is launching in Canada as well so you can get food that way.

The restaurant chain is also on DoorDash and Uber Eats which they just started being on in May.

Chipotle is giving people the opportunity to pay it forward with their app and online.

Both ordering spots will be used as a donation platform.

So, when you're checking out, you can round your bill to the next highest dollar amount to donate that to organizations fighting against issues like systemic racism and inequality.
