Just imagine how amazing it would be if one little decision you made in April came back as a $75,000 cheque a couple of weeks later. For these two Canadians, imagination doesn't come into play because they took home the grand prize in the Big Circle K Giveaway.

Barry from Hampton, New Brunswick, and Taylor from Kitchener, Ontario, were each awarded $75,000 thanks to Circle K, which also gave away weekly $1,000 prizes and over 1.1 million rewards to participants during the contest.

This interview has been condensed and edited for clarity.

For Barry, it took some time for the realization that he'd actually won to sink in. When asked how it felt, Barry said, "I had a hard time really believing it was true until I was asked to answer the skill testing question. Once I knew it was real, it was pure excitement."

As for how to spend it, Barry didn't hesitate to answer: "I will pay off my mortgage and then enjoy more time with my grandkids!"

Taylor, meanwhile, never expected to win anything when entering the contest. So, the surprise was overwhelming.

"I was completely surprised! Winning this contest was completely unexpected! I guess my initial reaction was disbelief," said Taylor. "I wasn’t expecting to win, so now my perspective on contests has changed. You can’t win unless you enter!"

Like Barry, Taylor wants to use the money to put towards a home and bring the family together: "I plan on taking a family vacation and then putting the rest of the money towards a house."
