The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is hiring surveillance officers across the country.

You don't need a university degree or college diploma for these high-paying jobs with the federal agency.

As a Surveillance Officer, you'll conduct discreet physical surveillance in a vehicle and on foot, research and analyze information about surveillance, and draft reports and detail information gathered.

These CSIS jobs are available in Burnaby, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Gatineau.

For this position, the CSIS salary is $77,427 to $94,177 a year.

You could be eligible for an additional allowance at a rate of 12% of the annual salary.

Only Canadian citizens can apply for a Surveillance Officer job.

You must have a high school diploma and four years of experience or a university degree or college diploma and two years of experience.

That experience must be related to work in a team environment.

You also need to have:

  • six years of experience driving motor vehicles in various driving conditions (city, rural, and weather events)
  • a valid permanent Canadian driver's license (G Class in Ontario and Class 5 elsewhere in Canada)
  • the ability to work nights, weekends and shifts
  • the ability to travel if needed

You will have to complete a 16-week Surveillance Officer Training Course in Ottawa before working as a Surveillance Officer. All of your temporary relocation expenses are covered.

It's a pass/fail course, and you only have one opportunity to participate in the training.

Also, you must be eligible to receive an Enhanced Top Secret security clearance. The process involves a security interview, a polygraph, and a background investigation with financial verifications.

The closing date for these government of Canada jobs is April 11, 2025.
