Donald Trump is leaving behind the White House on his last day in office, but not before pardoning a number of people including two high-profile rappers. 

The last-minute clemencies come as he steps down from his term as president and gives way to incoming President Joe Biden.

President Donald J. Trump granted pardons to 73 individuals and commuted the sentences of an additional 70 individuals. White House

However, in his final moments of power Trump has decided to commute the sentences of 70 individuals and pardon 73 people, according to a statement from the White House.  

Among them are rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black.

Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was "granted a full pardon" after he pled guilty to possession of a firearm and ammunition "by a convicted felon, owing to a conviction over 10 years ago."  

Another rapper that received a pardon was Kodak Black, whose actual name is Bill K. Kapri.

Black was sentenced to 46 months in jail after he falsified a statement on a federal document, according to the statement.

He served half of his sentence before he was pardoned.
