Joe Exotic Was Set To Leave Prison In A Limo & Then Trump Didn't Pardon Him

He even had a hair and spa appointment scheduled.
Managing Editor, Canada

When Donald Trump shared his finalized list of presidential pardons on January 20, Joe Exotic’s name was nowhere to be seen.

Despite rumours swirling that the U.S. president would pardon the Tiger King star, it seems Exotic has had his requests denied.

2037 The date Exotic is set to be released

Exotic’s team were so confident he’d receive a pardon they organized a celebratory limousine and a hair and spa appointment.

Instead, the reality TV star will continue to serve his 22-year prison sentence in Texas for his involvement in a failed murder-for-hire plot involving his "nemesis" Carole Baskin.

Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, is also serving time for murdering multiple tigers, selling tiger cubs and falsifying records.

Joe Exotic’s pardon application was filed in September last year and argued that he was “betrayed” by the people in his life per CTV News.

The 57-year-old is not scheduled for release until 2037.

The star shot to fame following the 2020 Netflix docu-series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness.
