At the time of writing, Calgary's current count is 686 and Edmonton's is 1,268.

2,836 Active cases in Alberta

The capital city has over half of the province's total number of cases.

While YYC and YEG are at the top of the list, the next in line is Lethbridge. Though, they only have 197 cases which is far fewer than Calgary.

Because of Edmonton's high case count, there have been new voluntary mandates issued to limit gathering sizes and add masks to all workplaces.

Masks have been made mandatory in Calgary and Edmonton in all indoor public spaces.

The province continues to provide updates to the public as the situation changes.
