Did Elon Musk Just Break Up With Bitcoin Using Linkin Park Lyrics?

On Thursday, June 3, Elon Musk posted a cryptic tweet about Bitcoin. The tweet said "#Bitcoin" with a broken heart emoji and included a weird Linkin Park-themed breakup meme.

In a follow-up tweet, Musk posted a comic strip showing a man crying as he watches a graph (presumably alluding to Bitcoin's value) plummet on his computer screen.

Sure enough, the price of Bitcoin declined following Musk's tweet.

While we can't be sure it's a direct correlation (the cryptocurrency was already on its way down), we do know that the billionaire has some serious sway when it comes to the crypto world.

In February, when Tesla bought $1.5 billion of Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency's value increased by as much as 16%.
