Calgary Can Finally Say Goodbye To The Horrific Crowchild Construction After 3 Years
Now traffic will go back to its usual hectic state!
After three years of major headaches for Calgary drivers, the City announced on Tuesday, September 22, that the Crowchild trail construction is finally over.
There are still a few small things to do like tidy-up and make it pretty but the bulk of the traffic-disrupting construction is over.
It took a lot of innovative thinking, but Calgarians told us what they needed and The City delivered.

According to the City, they also saved money and time on the project by fixing up and widening the original bridge instead of completely replacing it.
The improvements will help traffic flow a lot smoother over the Bow River.
The new lanes are fully open and ready to handle the standard hectic traffic we're all used to.
