Ontario Vaccination Appointments: 700 More Pharmacies Offering Doses As Of This Week

As cases continue to rise in the third wave, the province is doubling the number of pharmacies that are offering vaccination appointments in Ontario.

Ontario is adding over 700 new pharmacies on top of the 699 locations already offering the AstraZeneca vaccine to Ontarians aged 55 or older.

Once the new pharmacies start accepting appointments — which is expected to happen over the course of this coming week — they'll get added to Ontario's full list of participating pharmacies.

The new pharmacies are located around the province — 55 of them are in Durham, 44 in Middlesex-London, 78 in Ottawa, 108 in Peel, 40 in Waterloo, 108 in York Region, and the rest are scattered in many other communities in Ontario.

According to a press release, the province is planning to have over 1,500 pharmacies distributing vaccines by the end of April.
